What is the Shasta Cascade Region?
The Shasta Cascade Region is comprised of 8 counties in far northeastern California. 


Fun Facts
There are six Wild & Scenic Rivers flowing through the Shasta Cascade Region.

The Volcanic Legacy Scenic Byway – All American Road is one of only 30 in the United States, one of only 3 in California.

The Shasta Cascade Region includes towering mountains, stunning waterfalls, whitewater rivers, dense forests and glistening lakes.  It is roughly the size of Ohio.


A large portion of the Shasta Cascade Region is public recreation land, including seven National Forests and eight National and State Parks. Additional public lands are maintained by Bureau of Land Management, the Department of Fish and Game and the Army Corps of Engineers.
