Patrick Creek Campground

Camping with the River
Patrick Creek Campground has a special charm, with its steps, rock walls, restrooms, and sunken campfire circle built in the 1930s by the Civilian Conservation Corps. It is located directly across Highway 199 from the historic Patrick Creek Lodge at mile post 22.0. The campground, nestled among tall Douglas-firs, is next to the confluence of Patrick Creek and the Middle Fork of Smith River. Patrick Creek Campground has 13 campsites, some barrier free, and is open May to September. Patrick Creek Picnic Area is a no fee, day-use area only, open all year with good river access.

Barrier Free Access: Patrick Creek Trail
While people have been coming to this beautiful spot where Patrick Creek joins the Middle Fork of Smith River for probably hundreds of years, salmon and trout have been migrating here for thousands of years. You are invited to walk this short trail along Patrick Creek and learn more about the fish attracted to the clear emerald-green waters of Smith River.

The Patrick Creek Trail is a short (.2 mile) paved universal access trail from the Patrick Creek Lodge to Patrick Creek Campground via an under-the-bridge route with four interpretive stops and a barrier free fishing platform. Milepost 22.0 US 199.
