The Shasta Cascade Region offers an abundance of prime backpacking and hiking areas. The eight National Forests and numerous wilderness areas in the Shasta Cascade Region all offer opportunities to “get away from it all” and find solace and relaxation.
State & National Parks
With towering mountains, pristine lakes and rivers, cascading waterfalls, seven National Forests, eight National and State Parks, and thousands of acres of wilderness, the recreational opportunities are endless.
Fishing
Some of the best fishing in California is located in the Shasta Cascade Region and whether it’s fly fishing for trout, seeking out the best cove for bass, or spin fishing on a mountain river, virtually anyone can enjoy casting a line.
Water Fun
Houseboating, a floating hotel on water, is a fun experience that includes a little travel, some leisure and some great adventure.
